Change Your Country on Amazon to Buy Different Kindle Books

UK publishers can’t just start selling books in the US, and vice versa. So if you are in the US, you can’t purchase books from the UK Kindle Store. Fortunately, there’s a workaround: it’s possible to change which Store your Kindle uses.

For this to work, if you are in the US and want to use the UK Kindle Store, you need a UK address. There are two simple ways to get one: ask a friend who lives in the UK if you can use their address for Kindle purchases, or just make one up. As long as you’re not getting physical products delivered, Amazon won’t notice that the fake address doesn’t exist.

Hover over the Account and Lists dropdown and select Your Content and Devices.

Next, select Preferences. Then, under Country/Region Settings, click Change, and change it to a UK Adress to the following one (a random fake UK address found from the internet):

Address: 1234 Cromwell Road
City: Cambridgeshire
State: Wisbech
Zip: PE140SF
Phone: 03456102920

Then go to the Amazon UK site listed below to buy the kindle version (after purchase please do not forget to change back to your US address!):
